We work in partnership with schools, universities, arts organisations, local authorities, music services, software developers as well as individual artists, composers, musicians and music technologists to deliver the following:

Creative Learning for Schools and Playschemes

Accessible music projects focusing on individual needs and interests for pupils who face disabling barriers to making music.

Creative Learning for Young People and Adults

Accessible music sessions 1 to 1 or in small groups and youth mentoring schemes

Training

Consultancy

Drake Music provide consultancy services to Universities, Colleges, PGCE course providers, Venues, Music Studios and others who wish to ensure their music facilities and resources are fully accessible to disabled people. We advise on how organisations can meet their legal requirements under the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and Special Educational Needs and Disability Act (SENDA).

Our staff have extensive knowledge of delivering music education from primary (KS1) through to University Level. We have a wealth of experience of sound and studio engineering, accessible facility design, mainstream and assistive music technology. We can provide a detailed report of findings and recommendations which include equipment & software purchase, training requirements and other support needed to break down disabling barriers to music.
