| Nottinghamshire County Council- Arts Service have asked Salamanda Tandem and Drake Music East Midlands to undertake a research project focusing on examining issues for the independent arts sector in Nottinghamshire around disability arts. We want to specifically examine the issues of artists engagement with the disability arts sector, progression routes within the sector and professional development of artists. Barriers to development will be identified and ideas to tackle these barriers will be proposed as a result of the research. The research project will seek the views of independent artists, other arts organisations and stakeholders and present recommendations to Nottinghamshire County Council- Arts Service for development further. What we need you to do is ‘talk to us’ either by phone/email or in person where we can put a few questions to you to address these very important issues.
