Disability Equality Training for MusicChristine Janssen, 18 Aug 2009

DET (Disability Equality Training)
We offer imaginative, thought provoking and fun half day or full day DET courses aimed at schools, music services, music leaders, music venues and other music organisations. Our DET package is delivered by disabled musicians and aims to:

• Enable individuals and organisations to develop accessible services for disabled people
• Promote active participation and involvement in music by disabled people

The training looks at the root causes of exclusion and discrimination as well as the historic context behind the stereotypes, myths and misconceptions about disabled people. It will also provide participants with the awareness and resources needed to comply with the law and current good practice.
